Was Not a legal resident: Saudi national and U.S. green-card
holder Jamal Khashoggi reportedly walked into the Saudi consulate to
resolve issues related to his marital status.
Bio doesn’t show he had any children and only came to the USA Khashoggi relocated to the United States in
June 2017[42] and
began writing for The Washington Post in September 2017.[43] .[44]
Khashoggi entered the Saudi
Arabian consulate in Istanbul on 2 October 2018 in order to obtain documents related
to his planned marriage. As no CCTV recorded him exiting the consulate,[51] he
was declared a missing person[52] amid
news reports claiming that he had been killed and dismembered inside the consulate.[53][54] An
inspection of the consulate, by both Saudi Arabian and Turkish officials, took place
on 15 October.
At the time of his
death, Khashoggi was planning to marry Hatice Cengiz, a 36-year-old Ph.D.
candidate at a university in Istanbul. The two had met in May 2018, during a
conference in the city. Khashoggi, a Saudi national, visited the Saudi
