Timothy Lee of Phoenix, AZ
passed away peacefully on August 15, 2018 at age 60.
He was born on June 20th, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan, son of Raymond and Joyce Lee. A graduate of the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI), also earning a Master's degree from Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.), Timothy retired from a business career that spanned over 25 years—real estate, politics, and government of, by, and for the people among his greatest passions. He was an active participant in numerous social and charitable endeavors and organizations, his commitments and generosity greatly appreciated by those whose lives he touched.
Within the Arizona Republican Party (AZGOP), he played multiple important roles serving the Republican community throughout the great state of Arizona and beyond: AZGOP Treasurer through multiple administrations (2006-2015); Legislative District 24 Chairman; State Committeeman; Precinct Committeeman (30 yrs); Republican National Convention Delegate (2008); AZGOP Executive Committee Member (CD-1 Member-at-Large); Pinal County Republican Committee 1st Vice Chairman (5 yrs); Western Pinal Republican Club Charter Member, Vice Chairman, and Treasurer; Casa Grande, AZ Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman (5 years). His hard work earning multiple awards: AZGOP Lifetime Achievement Award (2011 & 2015); AZGOP Barry Goldwater Award for Lifetime Service (2012); AZGOP Achievement Award for Service (2010); and LD24 Chairman Achievement Award for Service (2016).
He will be deeply missed by his surviving family members; mother Joyce; brothers Michael, Matthew, Patrick, and sister Catherine; his beloved dogs, Bud and Lou; along with close friends and former colleagues. Most of all, he will be remembered as a strong, smart, and compassionate man, sometimes going so far as to making personal sacrifices of himself for the overall good of all involved. He was a faithful member of the Jewish community, and an American patriot who gave his all to making America great again, and he now moves on to enjoy his eternal reward in Heaven.
The family is thankful to Sinai Mortuary of Arizona and Rabbi Dan Hayman for officiating Timothy’s Celebration of Life service at Beth Israel Cemetery. Cards expressing sympathy and condolences may be mailed to the family at 4102 E. Garfield St. Phoenix, AZ 85008.
