Michael
Robert Connelly, age 70, passed away on June 5, 2018 at his home in Canton, TX
after a brief fight with cancer. He was born on October 28, 1947 in Ames, Iowa.
He Graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) Law school in the early 70's
and served with the United States Army, Military Intelligence Branch. During his
time as an Officer with the Army, he worked with the
Caribbean Defense Force helping combat communism throughout Central America and
the Caribbean. He was also a defender of our civil liberties as a Constitutional
Lawyer. He spoke on and hosted multiple radio programs and was admired by his
followers. As a Boy Scout Troop Leader he organized and started one of the
largest troops in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While leading his troop he inspired
many lives, including his own sons and over 50 scouts to obtain Eagle Scout. He
authored several books, including The
Mortarmen,

The
Rag, Our
Constitution, Riders
in the Sky: The Ghosts and Legends of Philmont Scout Ranch, and
America's
Liveliest Ghosts.
He is preceded
in death by his parents, Mr and Mrs. Roy Connelly; his brother, Rick Connelly;
his wife, Kay Connelly; and son, Patrick Connelly. He is survived by his
fiance, Anne
Bokalo;
children, LTC Sean Connelly and
wife Alison
Connelly(Germany); Michelle
Connelly (Baton
Rouge);
CPT Tim Connelly and wife Jennifer Connelly (Little
Rock;) Christopher Connelly (Anchorage); Nicole
Abed (Dallas);
grandchildren, Caleb and Emmalyn Connelly and Owen Connelly, along with several
extended family members.
