Update On President Trump's Visit To Puerto Rico

May God Bless the People of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands
On Tuesday, First Lady Melania Trump accompanied the President to Puerto Rico to visit with individuals impacted by Hurricane Maria. The First Lady, along with President Trump, surveyed the damage and relief efforts and met personally with hurricane victims. “To the first responders and local officials who have worked tirelessly to provide aide, on behalf of a grateful Nation I say thank you. To our fellow citizens in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, I continue to offer you daily thoughts and prayers. May God bless the people of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and offer comfort in this time of loss,” said the First Lady.

Update on FEMA’s Hurricane Recovery Response
Our goal is to help Puerto Ricans return to their routines, which will progress at a faster rate as more businesses open and communities are able to support their residents. We continue to make progress through the unified efforts of the federal government, working hand-in-hand with Puerto Rico, its municipalities, businesses and voluntary agencies on the island.

FEMA and its federal partners will be here for years to come, helping Puerto Rico not only in its response, but also its recovery. For more information, and to apply for assistance if you have been impacted by the storm, check out the resources available to you here.
