RNC Resolution Supporting America’s Desire For The Republican
Congress To Support President Trump’s Legislative Agenda
WHEREAS, The Republican Party is the party of great presidents
the likes of Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald
Reagan; and
WHEREAS, The Preamble of the Rules of the Republican Party
states, “Ours is the party of liberty, the party of equality of opportunity for
all and favoritism for none"; and
WHEREAS, from 2009 through 2017 the policies and programs of
Barack Obama did so much damage to Americans by passing unsound laws like
Obamacare, failed to promote rule of law, left our borders unprotected,
degraded our global status, and reduced opportunities for millions of Americans
who landed in poverty and government dependence like no time since the Great
Depression; and
WHEREAS, during the administration of Barack Obama his party
lost control of The US Senate, The US House, countless local and state elected
offices because Americans overwhelmingly disapproved of Barack Obama's damaging
policies and programs; and
WHEREAS, Republicans were elected in 2010, 2012 & 2014
promising to live up to the Republican platform, govern as conservatives and
change the failed Democrat policies and programs; and
WHEREAS, Americans voted again in 2016 to reject the policies
and ideas of the Democratic Party and elected Donald Trump as our 45th
President to make America great again; and
WHEREAS, President Trump ran his campaign in support of the
Republican principles which promised to restore opportunity and liberty,
promote liberty, reduce job killing regulation, reengage our superiority as the
world’s only mega super power, protect our borders, increase jobs and the
wealth of all wage earners through a robust economic program, reduce
dependency, improve education, rebuild equality and rule of law and most
importantly repeal and replace Obamacare; and
WHEREAS, President Trump has been delivering on his promises to
“make America great again” through the power of the presidency but needs the
support of Congress to fully implement the will of the voters; and
WHEREAS , Americans have become increasingly frustrated and
concerned that Republican members of Congress have not themselves delivered on
the promises they made when they campaigned to repeal and replace Obamacare,
protect our borders, improve our national security, increase national wealth,
create millions of new jobs, eliminate burdensome regulation and reduce our
national debt; and therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, While the Republican Party continues to be
committed to being a party of ideas and the “party of the open door” always
being committed to a discussion of the issues; the united members of the RNC
call upon all Republicans serving in the US House and the US Senate come
together, fulfill your campaign promises, govern together, by showing the
courage and energy to create successes as promised on behalf of the American
people. Please feel free to share.
