Nepotism is alive and well in the Trump Administration or isn't it?
If you are a member of the Trump family, and a lifelong Democrat you can get a plum advisory position with top-secret security clearance and access to the Presidential daily intelligence briefings. Nice gig for the privileged.
President Trump has his son-in-law and daughter as senior
advisers, we did not elect the Trump family. It’s reported neither the
son-in-law nor Trump’s daughter is receiving a salary the American taxpayer is
paying for the office upkeep and staff for both of them.
Jared Kushner son-in law to POTUS a life-long Democrat is now
a senior advisor to a Republican President. Trump is said to have requested the
top-secret security clearance for him to attend the Presidential daily intelligence briefings as his staff-level companion.
Jared Kushner had been a life-long Democrat and had made
major donations to its candidates for years before reportedly undergoing an
"ideological conversion" and supporting the 2015–16 Trump campaign.[48][49][50][51] Kushner has had no prior involvement in campaign
politics or in government before his father-in-law, Trump's, campaign.[52] Along with this “ideological conversion” did
his lifelong Democratic Philosophy change? Or was the conversion because his
father-inlaw was a Republican Candidate?
Jared Kushner since 1999 according to Federal Elections Commission total
contributions mostly to Democrats total 11, 5450.00. Also gave to the New
Jersey and New York Democratic Party.
Although Trump had repeatedly said his family would continue
to run the Trump Origination within a couple of days after his swearing in all
that changed.
In January 2017, Kushner was named a Senior White House Advisor to Republican President Trump. Kushner's
appointment was questioned on the basis of a 1967 anti-nepotism law.[66] On
January 20, 2017 the Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel issued an opinion stating "the President
may appoint relatives to his immediate staff of advisors."[67][68] Kushner
was sworn in on January 22, 2017.[69]
