(CLIFTON, VA) ForAmerica President David Bozell released the following statement in response to GOP Congressional leadership’s failure to bring forth for a vote and pass an Obamacare repeal and replacement bill:
“The current GOP leadership operation had nearly eight years to craft a bill that conservatives could support. “Not only does the leadership lack the political will, it demonstrates a consistent inability to market conservative principles and policy.
“GOP leaders consistently misread the modern political climate. It’s why they lost to Obama twice and why they thought Trump would lose. Time and again, GOP leaders treated their base like a perpetual headache, and as a result they failed today to deliver on their #1 item. Across the board, new leadership is in order.”
