Arpaio Files Complaint Against George Soros Group
Pro-Penzone Committee “Maricopa Strong” in Violation of Campaign Finance Laws
PHOENIX, AZ – The Elect Sheriff Joe Arpaio campaign committee filed a formal complaint with the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office and Elections Department due to campaign finance violations committed by the George Soros-financed independent expenditure committee supporting Democrat challenger Paul Penzone.

The committee, “Maricopa Strong” is financed solely by far-left progressive billionaire George Soros and has spent more than $2 million (TO DATE) in the Maricopa County Sheriff’s race to defeat Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The violation centers around Maricopa Strong’s failure to properly notify Sheriff Joe Arpaio of their negative attacks ads as outlined in Arizona campaign laws. The penalty for breaking this law is a fine of up to three times the amount of the expenditures.

Arpaio’s campaign manager, Chad Willems, stated, “It’s bad enough that a far-left globalist like George Soros is trying to buy a Sheriff’s Office here in Maricopa County, but now we see they’re breaking the law in an effort to do so. The voters of Maricopa County should be outraged.”
Arpaio’s opponent in this race has struggled to find the financial backing needed to run a successful campaign, so George Soros stepped in and issued a blank check to get Penzone elected.

Soros, as you may recall, is the progressive billionaire who funds or supports far-left media organizations, the ACLU, the Black Lives Matter movement, and advocates for unrestricted immigration and refugee relocations both here and abroad.
