PHOENIX - Governor Doug Ducey has appointed Tony Bouie director of the Arizona State Lottery.
"Tony brings to our administration a strong and tested history in leadership roles," said Governor Ducey. "Whether directing corporations, managing people and budgets, overseeing successful business development or coaching teams, he has proven himself an extremely effective and reputable leader. He will be instrumental to the State Lottery's mission and is a welcome addition to this administration."
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Bouie served as chief operating officer for Parkinson Wellness Recovery; founding member and senior director of Solavei consumer services company; senior consultant with Blue Stone Strategy Group; defensive graduate assistant and assistant football coach for the University of Akron; Chairman and CEO for Halo Cups, Inc.; manager of Roadway Express; and commodity specialist for Avnet, among other roles.
In addition, Mr. Bouie played professional football for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1995 to 1999. He also is a former elected precinct committeeman and elected state committeeman, and has served on the National Football League Players Association Board of Directors; Arizona Alumni Board; Leukemia and Lymphoma Society National Board of Representatives; Ridgeline Academy Charter School Board and more.
Tony Bouie holds a Bachelor of Arts in media arts and a Master of Arts in language, reading and culture from the University of Arizona; a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University; and a Master of Sports Administration from the University of Akron, in Ohio.
