San Antonio Theater Shooting-- Killing stopped by off duty county deputy packing a gun

2 Injured in Theater Shooting, Including Suspect  View Video
San Antonio Police responded to a shooting that took place on the city's south side.
Investigators say the suspect, Jesus Manuel Garcia, started shooting at a China Garden Restaurant then continued shooting at Santikos Mayan Palace 14 Theater on Southwest Military Drive. It happened around 9:25 Sunday night December 16, 2012 Detectives say Garcia also shot at San Antonio police officer who was sitting in a marked unit.A friend of Garcia says he is a 19-year-old cook at the China Garden Restaurant.
No one was injured at the restaurant. Police say the suspect did shoot a victim as he was on his way inside of the theater.

On Sunday December 17, 2012, two days after the CT shooting, a man went to a restaurant in San Antonio to kill his ex-girlfriend. After he shot her, most of the people in the restaurant fled next door to a theater. The gunman followed them and entered the theater so he could shoot more
people. He started shooting and people in the theater started running and screaming.
It’s like the Aurora, CO theater story plus a restaurant!

Now aren’t you wondering why this isn’t a lead story in the national media along with the school shooting?

There was an off duty county deputy at the theater. She pulled out her gun and shot the man 4 times before he had a chance to kill anyone. So since this story makes the point that the best thing to stop a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun, the media is treating it like it never
happened.
