KING OF THE ROAD

Big trucks make up 4.3 percent of all highway vehicles, but in the most congested corridors, every fourth vehicle is a truck.

Does it ever seem like you’re surrounded by big trucks on the highway? Maybe you are, but you probably live in a heavily-traveled corridor.
The fact is, big trucks make up just 4.3 percent of all highway vehicles and account for just 10 percent of total highway miles traveled.

Click to see it and locate the country’s most freight-congested stretches of highway. While at our website, add to the discussion. Do you feel safe sharing the road with big rigs?
