WASHINGTON - Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement on the one year anniversary of President Obama announcing for reelection:
"One year ago today, President Obama declared his campaign for reelection, and in the past year, he's made it clear to America that he has forever abandoned 'hope and change.' Instead, he's counting on fear and division to get reelected. With no record to run on, he's spent his time desperately attacking his opponents and blaming others for his failures," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.
"It won't work. Americans are sick of his phony rhetoric and political calculating. We don't need a president who can deliver disingenuous speeches; we need a president who can deliver real solutions.
"Since declaring reelection, the Campaigner-in-Chief has shown where his true priorities are. He has attended a record-shattering 113 campaign fundraisers and crisscrossed the country for countless campaign events. But he has shown zero leadership on jobs, the deficit, energy, or any of the issues families are worried about.
"America cannot endure another term of a politically self-serving president. Nor can we afford four more years of Obamanomics and ObamaCare. November cannot come soon enough."
