Earlier this week, I managed debate on H.R. 3606, the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act, which passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 390-23. The JOBS Act is a rare bi-partisan legislative package that will help small businesses and entrepreneurs access vital equity capital and help put Americans back to work. Jobs are issue number one for the American people. The passage of the JOBS Act is a great step toward the eliminating the tangle of red tape that has been holding back entrepreneurship and job creation. I believe the best way to fight for policies that will help job growth is to use real life stories from small business owners and families in the 5th District of Texas.
