Is it wonder Americans don't know American History for decades the Department of Education has worked tirelessly to dumb down Americans to insure a nation of followers not leaders or free thinkers. I wrote the below article Sept. 2010.

Teachers Are Poisoning Our Children...
September 17th in Grade Schools and Colleges.....A little known requirement is a provision passed by Congress in 2004 that every grade school and college that receives Federal funds must on Constitution day {September 17th} have a time dedicated to teaching the Constitution. How much time is going to be allocated to teaching the separation of powers, the branches of government and the limits it places on government? Is it going to be one study period to read the Constitution? Or will it be an depth explanation of the Constitution and the intent of the Founding Fathers?
Millions of Americans have little knowledge of the Constitution. They think and have come to expect the purpose of the federal government is to create new rights, new entitlements and new laws to bring about social and economic equality. Both parties show a complete disdain of the Constitution, resulting in the massive expansion of government at every level.

Americans grade F on Citizenship...
One thousand Americans
recently took the U.S. citizenship test as a part of an experiment for Newsweek
and The Daily Beast. According to Newsweek, 10 questions were chosen at random
from a pool of 100 for the test, with six correct answers needed to pass. After
38 percent failed, Newsweek declared the "country's future is imperiled by
our ignorance." These are some of the startling results that were
published in the May issue of Townhall Magazine.
