At the Presidential Banquet my dinner companions were a treat to sit with. Of course my friend Matthew Vadum whose new book Subversion, Inc. is now on sale at Amazon and photographer Stephen Lock,Alicia Powe,Fred Smith, Jim Broussard along with Grover Norquist and his charming wife Samah were at my table.The conversation was funny and stimulating. Samah told stories about their two daughters and showed us their pictures one has flaming red hair and the other one is a blond.
Speaker John Boehner was the recipient of THE ASHBROOK AWARD. Speaker Boehner acceptance speech was met with thunderous applause on several occasions.
The evenings speaker was Arthur Brooks and entertainment Ray Stevens.
