| STATEMENT ON THE NINTH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11 |
WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele released the following statement today:
“Today we honor the memory of loved ones lost nine years ago in the devastating terrorist attacks on New York City, at the Pentagon, and on Flight 93. We also give thanks to the courageous first responders without whom this tragedy would have been far greater, and to our brave men and women in uniform who have fought to keep us safe.
“This day also serves as a reminder of the compassion and resilience of the American spirit. The memories of those taken from us nine years ago today and those in uniform who have made the ultimate sacrifice on our behalf, compel us to continue to defend freedom and win the War on Terror.”
