Mayors Across Arizona Endorse Vernon Parker for Congress

Phoenix, Arizona. August 16, 2010. Today, the Vernon Parker for Congress campaign announced the endorsements of 10 Republican mayors from across Arizona.
Headlining the group, which stretches across Arizona, are Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman, Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane and Paradise Valley Mayor Scott P. LeMarr.
“Vernon Parker has been a presidential advisor, a fiscal hawk as mayor, a loving father and a valued member of his community,” said Hallman, a rising star in Republican circles. “Vernon’s incredible life story inspires us all. We need Vernon Parker in Congress because these are serious times that demand serious, experienced leaders.”

Vernon Parker, the former mayor of Paradise Valley, is now running to succeed John Shadegg to serve Arizona in the U.S. Congress. Parker previously served in the White House as Special Assistant to President George H. W. Bush. He is supported by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, TASER Co-founder and Chairman Tom Smith, Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio and former Congressman Matt Salmon, Small business owner Nohl Rosen among others.
