Just over a week ago, Rep. Eric Cantor and the Economic Recovery Working Group launched You Cut – a first of its kind project – designed to defeat the permissive culture of runaway spending in Washington.
It allows you to vote, both online and on your cell phone, on the spending cuts that you want to see the House enact. Each week, the winning item will be brought to the House floor for an up-or-down vote by your representatives.
Since it's launch, You Cut has been an unprecedented success – launching a citizen movement to control Washington's runaway spending. In just over one week, over 450,000 votes have been cast and the first YouCut vote has already been brought to the House floor.
The next five cuts are up on the YouCut website; later this week the winning item will again be brought up for a floor vote. Click here to vote for your selection on the next five cuts.
