Notice-Scottsdale Resident's Budget Discussions and Public Invited to Comment on City’s Draft Transportation Plan

Budget discussions continue
Scottsdale’s proposed budget incorporates the priorities and policy direction expressed by the City Council over the past year, balancing modest projected increases in revenue with additional expenses in priority areas. The budget will be discussed at the following public meetings beginning at 5 p.m. in the City Hall Kiva, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd.:
  • Tuesday, June 2: Public hearing and final budget adoption; truth and taxation hearing
  • Tuesday, June 16: Final adoption of tax levies

Public invited to comment on city’s draft transportation plan
The public is invited to comment on the first draft of a new Transportation Master Plan for Scottsdale. The public can learn more about the plan and provide feedback at a series of meetings through November. The Transportation Master Plan provides a vision and guide to the community’s residents, businesses and officials as Scottsdale’s transportation system grows and develops in the future. Public meetings, hosted by the city’s Transportation Commission, will be at 6 p.m. in the City Hall Kiva, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd on the following dates:
  • Thursday, June 4 – Streets Element
  • Thursday, June 18 – Bicycle Element
  • Thursday, Aug. 20 – Pedestrian Element
  • Thursday, Sept. 3 – General Discussion
  • Thursday, Sept. 17 – Streets Element
  • Thursday, Oct. 15 – General Discussion
  • Thursday, Nov. 19 – Final Discussion and Recommendation
Channel 11 will televise meetings live. Based on the input received, a final plan will be prepared for adoption by the City Council. Learn more about the plan and how you can provide input.

Public review process begins for draft update of Scottsdale General Plan 2035

Get an insight into our community’s future. The public will have an opportunity to review and comment on the Scottsdale General Plan 2035 draft update. The plan is the primary tool for guiding future development and character of the city over the next 20 years. State law requires the city to update its General Plan every 10 years. Scottsdale’s draft General Plan 2035 will be the subject of public discussion with the Planning Commission and City Council. The Planning Commission will discuss the draft at the May 27, and June 10 and 24 meetings. The City Council will discuss the plan at a study session June 9, changed from June 23. All meetings start at 5 p.m. in the City Hall Kiva, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd. Review the draft and submit feedback.
