Arizona American African Republicans Commemorate 150th Anniversary of Emancipation Proclamation

Yes it was a Republican President and a Republican Congress that freed the slaves. The Democrats were adamantly against it and they would still be slaves today if it had not been for Republicans. be###

First Republican President Abraham Lincoln Freed Slaves on January 1, 1863
PHOENIX – In observance of the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, the Arizona American African Republican Committee is organizing a special event on Tuesday, January 1st from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Eastlake Park, 1540 East Jefferson Street in Phoenix.
The Rev. Clyde Bowen, Chairman of the AAARC said, "This is an event to recognize Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation, and to remind everyone in Arizona of our heritage as Americans."
